Keeping your water clean and pure!
western red cedar cladding
While Western Red Cedar is naturally resistant to bacteria and mildew, soap residue, minerals or other impurities from your water may start to form some build-up if left to lay on the timber cladding of your Bath. Therefore Natural Bathroom strongly recommends performing routine cleanings each time you clean your Bath or when you notice some build-up. To keep your piece looking new, we recommend a deep cleaning at least every 3 months or more depending on use.
For indoor installations we expect minimal cleansing required as your Bath will be protected from the outdoor elements. A light clean with a mild detergent solution and a soft brush to remove dirt and dust. Rinse with clean water and let it dry.
For those outdoor installations, some additional care and attention may be required to better protect your Bath. If there are any mildew stains, you can use a commercial mildew remover or a dilute solution of liquid household bleach. Scrub the stained areas with a light bristle brush and rinse with clean water.
You can also apply a finish to your western red cedar cladding to protect it from weathering and enhance its appearance. There are different types of finishes, such as opaque, semi-transparent and transparent, that offer different levels of protection and aesthetic effects. You should apply the finish before the cladding starts to weather, and reapply it as needed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Stainless steel liner
It is advised to run through a thorough cleaning routine every 3 months to keep your Bath looking and feeling amazing!
For a liner still looking like it did on day one, a simple wipe with a microfiber cloth and warm water does the trick. Wet the cloth and wipe down the liner. Then, use another microfiber cloth to dry and polish the surface.
For more stubborn stains, such as soap scum or limescale, you can use a mild detergent or a vinegar solution. Mix a few drops of dish soap or a cup of white vinegar with warm water and spray it on the liner. Let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub gently with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse well and dry with a microfiber cloth.
In the unlikely case that some rust or discoloration appears, you can use a stainless steel cleaner or a baking soda paste. Apply the cleaner or the paste on the affected area and rub it with a soft cloth or a toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a microfiber cloth.
To keep your stainless steel liner looking shiny and new, avoid using abrasive materials and harsh chemicals that can scratch or damage the surface. Also, dry the liner after each use to prevent water spots and corrosion.
filtration
The frequency of changing the UV filter in your Bath fitration system depends a little on the usage however Natural Bathroom suggests washing out the filter every 2-3 weeks and changing the filter every 3 months as part of your routine cleaning schedule.
The UV lamp is the most important part of the filtration system, a device that emits ultraviolet light to disinfect the water from harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and protozoans. It’s core purpose is to kill and inactivate the living organisms that may be present in the water. Natural Bathrooms superior UV lamp system ensures your water stays pure of bacteria.
As well as changing every 3 months, you should also check the UV system regularly for any signs of malfunciton or damage and replace the UV lamp every 12 months.
the water!
Due to the power of Natural Bathrooms superior UV water cleansing system, your water will only need to be changed approximately every 3 months. If any chemicals or foreign objects contaminate the water, these should be dealt with immediately and the water changed if necessary.
Whether hot or cold bathing, it is a time to embrace your inner strength and mind, experiencing the moment in pure clean water is a must!
